Dream to Reality + MailCall 4

No, I have not lost my mind and gone on another shopping spree, well... not that kind at least. Most of this mail call are things that I ordered a while ago that have finally come in :)

So last post I said that I had some big stuff happening in my life, and today everything is official. I've become a home owner! I went to the Realtor's office this morning to sign the final papers!! Moving date will be mid January. I'm sorry if the blog has been and will be slow until I am all moved and unpacked.

Ooo that means I will have to do a new craft room tour... hmmm...

Ok! On to the other fun stuff!!

Mom and I finally made a trip to Bellingham, we had a bit of a girls shopping trip and picked up my orders. There's ThinkGeek. Sorry I can't share that one... spoilers! As well as Ellen Hutson and what I have really been waiting for, my order from Scrapbooking Made Simple's "Shop That Did not Hop" Sizzix warehouse sale. I've also picked up some stamps I won from Bid Wars.

I'll start with the stamps I won, great deal, $5!!

My big order from from Scrapbooking Made Simple... this makes me happy!! I won't spent a lot of time talking about these ones, I will just jump right in.

Sizzix Bigz, the Pillow box, and the Carry box - these boxes are going to be fantastic for jewellery.

Framelits! Hearts, and Squares

Flip-it cards, from Stephanie Barnard - Square and Royal
I can't wait to break these open, they have so many dies with them!!

I finally got my crease pad and rubber mat for the Big Shot

Memory Box and Cottage Cutz word dies, there no such thing as too many of these!

Core'dinations sanding block and refill pack

Anyone that knows me, knows my love of Alice in Wonderland. So I could not help myself when I saw these on sale.

And look! a free gift!! Some die cuts, and a frog die (I love frogs... that was so perfect) along with my Golden Ticket key chain that says Shop That Did Not Hop

I think this is one of the most exciting purchases/creations I as of late (craft wise) My Peerless Watercolours!!!!

From the paints I have made this palette that was inspired by a Youtube I saw from, Jane Davenport

I created a grid in Excel, and added in the names in order from the Peerless packaging (I love that the list is how they package)
Then turned it into a PDF copy for safe keeping, and printed out a copy on 110 lb card stock. I kept the 8 1/2 x 11 page, its more workable for me, and more consistent with my other ink swatches.
You should be able to download a copy of the PFD Here

I used tape to keep the pages together with a small gap between to ensure the pages will close properly and lay flatter than a folded paper. All I need now is a sheet of acetate to put between the pages to protect and work for mixing colours. Using my Fiskars scissors, I cut a small bit of the paint and glued it to the grid, going colour by colour so I didn't get confused what when where or mix up the order for when these little bits need replacing.

Once everything was together, I used my water brush and painted a test strip as I went to show the true colours for easier use later. This could all be done after the strips are taped down, and any paint brush with water works, I prefer the water brush as its easier to see when the tip is clean to move to the next colour.

Christmas Earrings

So, life has been quite busy lately - I will share more details on that later - and I haven't been able to craft much this week. I do have some beautiful earrings I've made to share.

These are all crafted with glass beads
